The Little Magician From Rosario

Lionel Andres Messi, The G.O.A.T of football, was born in Rosario of Argentina at June 24, 1987. He is an Argentine football player. He also played for FC Barcelona and now playing for football club PSG . Messi has won a record seven Ballon d'Or, a record six   European Golden Shoes  and in 2020 was named to the Ballon d'Or Dream Team .While playing in  FC Barcelona ,he has won club record 35 trophies, including 10 La Liga titles, Copa del Rey titles and UEFA Champions League . He won 2021 Copa América and 2022 FIFA World Cup with his country. A great player with a creative playmaking skill, Messi holds the record of most goals in La Liga (474 goals), most hat-tricks in La Liga (36 times) and most hat-tricks in the UEFA Champions League (8 times). He holds the record for most assist in La Liga (192 goals) and in  Copa América (17 goals). Messi has scored over 750 senior career goals for club and country and has the most goals by a player for a single club (672). 

He was born and raised in Rosario, Argentina. Messi began to play football at a young age. He used to play in Rosario-based Newell's Old Boys's youth team. His skill and potential was soon realized by FC Barcelona and then FC Barcelona signed him for the team at a realy early age. Messi relocated to Spain at the age of 13 for joining Barcelona. He made his competitive debut in the age of 17 in 24th October, 2004. He established himself as an integral player for the club within the next three years, and in his first uninterrupted season in 2008–09 he helped Barcelona achieve the first treble in Spanish football. In this season, at the age of of 22, Messi received his first  Ballon d'Or. Three successful seasons followed, with Messi winning four consecutive Ballons d'Or, making him the first player to win the award four times. He made his career so beautiful with his creative gamestyle and giving every match a magical touch. In season 2011-12, he set the La Liga and European records for most goals scored in a single season while establishing the record of most goalscorer for FC Barcelona. Out of contract ,he signed for PSG in August 2021.

As an Argentine footballer, he also has collected a lot of awards and trophies in his bucket.  Messi holds the national record for appearances and is also the country's all time leading scorer. At youth level, he won FIFA World Youth Championship(2005), finishing this tournament both with golden boot and golden ball. He also won 
olympic gold medal at the 2008 summer olympics. After his senior debut in August 2005, Messi became the youngest Argentine to play and score in a FIFA World Cup in 2006 and reached the final of the Copa América. He became Argentina football team's captain in 2011 and from then he led Argentina to three consecutive finals: 2014 FIFA World Cup where he won golden ball, 2015 and 2016 Copa América winning the golden ball in the 2015 edition. Then in 2021, finally he got Argentian team a Copa América  trophy. In 2022, he captained his country to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, for which he won the Golden Ball for a record second time, and broke the record for mos appearances in world cup tournaments with 26 matches played.

Once a little boy came from Rosario having love for football, has now conquered the world with his magical football playing. He is now 35. He has been playing from his early age and will be playing in future. But, there will be a time when he will stop playing, will take his retirement. He has million of fans all over the world who loves to see him playing, showing magic with his leg. It will be so hard to watch him retiring someday for his fans. But whatever happens, he will be the G.O.A.T, the little Magician from Rosario.
