Image
Have you ever thought of why people all over the world have a genuine soft corner for their dream cars, no matter how much unaffordable those are? Adding to that, it might be a good to go for the potential question, "Is automobile only a mean of transportation!"   The word automobile, in general, refers to the vehicles that are used for transportation and this concept is accepted by a huge number of people in the present era of machines and technology. The Tulip bubble, it isn’t what you think it is

Image
Rubaiya Rahim (22201109) Finance Today you can buy several tulips for a couple of dollars . In 1637 you could buy every house on your street for a couple of tulips. The year is 1637 right in the middle of the Dutch golden age. This is the era of names such as Rembrandt Christian Huygens and Johannes Vermeer and even though it was in a golden age the Dutch Republic was a new country founded only half a century ago when it revolted against the Spanish Empire and started the 80 years war. It’s the place where the first financial bubble burst. It is called the Tulip mania. We can relate this mania with the modern day Bitcoin. This is an economic bubble and like all bubbles they eventually burst. Tulips originally came from Persia and traveled via the Ottoman trade to Western Europe in the 16 th century . Tulips come in a variety of colors and they rapidly became prized above all other flowers. The Dutch Republic saw the rise of a new middle class and these merchants and traders were willi...

Studio Ghibli: Cinema Meets Dreamscape

Image
Have you ever watched a movie so enchanting it left you inarticulate? For me, Studio Ghibli did just that. Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli is a perfect way to escape reality and submerge into a dreamlike atmosphere while relishing the best of Japanese culture. In 1985, Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki founded Studio Ghibli. Hayao Miyazaki is a director, producer, screenwriter, animator, author, and manga (comic book) artist and Isao Takahata is a Japanese director, screenwriter and producer. “ Ghibli ” is an Italian word meaning “hot desert wind”. Miyazaki named his studio after this because his goal was to “blow a new wind through the anime industry.”  Often the main theme of these movies are tied to humans’ relationship with nature and technology and the complications that come with maintaining peace during violence. Miyazaki avoids the typical, old fashioned villain characters, rather he unconsciously (read: creatively) explores how there is no one born inherently good or evil....

A Nation Holding Grudges, Against Diplomacy And Ideals : North Korea

Image
Abrar Fahim(22201689) History Rewinding about 110 years. It’s 1910. Japan just annexed the Korean peninsula. The Korean peninsula was effectively one nation of Korea but it was colonized by Japan. A country that had huge potential. Fast forward 35 years. End of the second world war. The USA and The USSR jointly fought against the Japanese imperial army in the pacific and on the Asian landmass respectively. This halted the Japanese expansion in towards the Asian continent. And USA and USSR liberated the Korean peninsula too, in that process. What happened afterwards shaped the modern day states of South Korea and North Korea. The two dominant powers which survived after the second world war were USA and USSR. So obviously after the war, the whole world was like a chessboard to them and they just started carving out territories for fun. So in 1945, after the war, when it was time to settle the Korean peninsula, the two biggest powers came to an understanding. That both USA and USSR...

MBTI Personality Types: The Basic Decipher to Human Persona

Image
Nowadays surprisingly people are more into momentary gratifications. It is not rare anymore that people are more inclined to social media connections rather than real life communications. In real-life communications, it takes effort and most importantly understanding between mates is also important. Stating the reason behind it is that people gets confused about themselves about what they want and also about their friends. Then, when it comes to choosing a major or settling in with a job or finding happiness in things humans automatically get confusions and with all those huge piling confusions lead to that one little questions,” who am I?” or “ why am I doing this? Am I really supposed to do this?” and all these questions without answers make them indecisive in spheres of life. It would have been a lot easier if they would at least know about themselves, or know-how their surroundings are, and how can they improve themselves for a better preference. Hence if there would be something w...
